The orphanage “Keur Mame Diarra”, TOUBA, SENEGAL, had the blessing of Serigne Sidy Mokhtar Mbacke (Khalif General des Mourides) on March 23, 2012. The facility opened its doors July 5th, 2012.
Young instructors known as “Serigne Daara” whose goals are to serve GOD almighty work tirelessly through humanitarian actions for the benefit of the less fortunate and the forgotten members of our communities.

STATISTICS

From July 2012 to April 2023, the Orphanage hosted 309 infants consisting as follows:

  •  we welcomed 434 children including 210 males and 224 females
  • The current situation is 55 children among boarders and 56 children among day students, distributed as follows:
  • • Under 1 year: 25 boys and 31 girls
  • • 1 to 5 years old: 13 boys and 10 girls
  • • 6 to 13 years old: 14 boys and 16 girls
  • • 14 to 21 years old: 02 boys
  •  Former residents returning to learn the Koran and then proceed to study in a French-Arabic School or in a Vocational School
