Placing a child
Admission criteria
All applications are received and carefully assessed by the Investigation and Monitoring Committee.
The process
- Admission is granted at the request of parents or relatives, or following a referral from a partner organisation — such as a healthcare facility.
- Receipt of the application, accompanied by a written statement of reasons.
- Issuing or verifying the birth certificate and the child’s civil status.
- Production of the mother’s death certificate.
- Identification of the parent or applicant.
- Medical examination of the child, compulsory on admission.
- About of a family discharge form.
- Signing of a contract between the applicant and the children’s home.
Documents to be provided
- The child’s birth certificate
- Death certificate of the mother and/or father
- Medical certificate stating that the ill mother is unable to breastfeed her child
- The child’s health record
- Application for financial support
- Parental consent form
- Copy of the parents’ national identity cards
The Investigation and Monitoring Committee receives applications and processes them carefully.
